Research for Near | Stake (NEAR)
Near is a sharded blockchain with smart contracts enabled that is a completely integrated yet modular stack. It powers not just the fast and secure Near ecosystem but also has functianlity to support Data Availabilit for external chains, function as a central account abstraction wallet and much more. Gas is payed in the native NEAR currency, staking NEAR allows users to participate in consensus and earn rewards in-line with the validator they selected.
Research for Aptos | Stake (APT)
Aptos is a fast and secure blockchain tailored to large-scale finance applications that can serve the global population. The founders, who came from the Meta Libra project, took the BFT consensus codebase and Move VM from this Facebook-led stablecoin project and took it to new heights. With a successful mainnet launch in late 2022, a stunning 25,000 Transactions Per Second (TPS), partnerships with Visa, millions of Total Value Locked (TVL) in DeFi and a top notch developer experience it is becoming one of the largest and most welcoming layer 1 ecosystems in crypto.
Research for Fetch.ai | Stake (FET)
The ASI Alliance is a strategic partnership among several blockchain and AI-focused organizations: Cudos, Fetch.ai, SingularityNET, and Ocean Protocol, aimed at advancing decentralized artificial intelligence (AI) and computing resources through a unified token ecosystem. Under this alliance, Fetch.ai’s token, $FET, has been rebranded as the $ASI (Artificial Superintelligence) token, serving as the core asset in this ecosystem. Holders of other associated tokens ($AGIX from SingularityNET, $OCEAN from Ocean Protocol, and $CUDOS from Cudos protocol) will be able to convert their tokens into $ASI at predetermined rates, integrating value and utility across platforms.
Research for Cosmos Hub | Stake (ATOM)
The Cosmos Hub is the first and also the largest cosmos (Tendermint + CosmosSDK + IBC) chain. Powered by ATOM it is a massive onboarding tool for the wider ecosystem, a hub of liquidity and mainly a steady force in the volatile ecosystem that is the cosmos. Supported by not just the Interchain foundation but also, Informal systems, binary builders, hypha, many more organizations and a vibrant governance driven community it might well be the most decentralized alternative layer 1. With the most recent addition of replicated security we see the rise of the so-called Atom Economic Zone, increasing the role ATOM plays not only in securing other chains but also seeding them with liquidity and receiving external revenue in return.
Research for Celestia | Stake (TIA)
Celestia, previously known as LazyLedger, is the world's first modular blockchain network. It is a pluggable consensus and data availability layer that allows anyone to quickly deploy a decentralized blockchain without having to bootstrap a new consensus network. Celestia modularizes the blockchain technology stack and opens up new possibilities for decentralized application builders by decoupling the consensus and application execution layers.
Research for Injective | Stake (INJ)
Injective was the first cosmos chain dedicated to trading and other DeFi use cases and has an ever growing community and product base. Recently backed by additional VC partners, the Ecosystem is expanding rapidly with the biggest projects focusing on an Ethereum and Solana VM as a layer 2 on Injective. With the integrated order-book modules, a robust bridging and oracle system and innovative MEV prevention, Injective is the perfect home for the new generation of DeFi applications.
Research for Sei | Stake (SEI)
Sei is a blockchain purpose built for fast finality and high throughput use cases like order books, payment processing and perpetuals. The Network uses a custom version of Tendermint called Twin-turbo consensus which has smart block propagation and Optimistic processing to lower gossiping issues making 0.5s blocks possible. Together with a validator-run price feeder, great bridge integrations and the flexibility of CosmWasm it has become incredibly easy to deliver the next generation of financial applications - completely decentralized.
Research for dYdX Protocol | Stake (DYDX)
dYdX is THE decentralized perpetual exchange! With over 1 billion USD in daily trading volume and over 20 assets supported, dYdX allows thousands of users to open leveraged positions for the crypto market. The dYdX product has moved techstack from Ethereum to an Ethereum-rollup before and is now moving to a Tendermint and CosmosSDK based network. Moving to this new techstack is another step in scaling and decentralizing the required infrastructure while simultaneously gaining additional sovereignty. dYdX is bringing thousands of users into the IBC ecosystem to experience what an app-specific blockchain can feel like and with their open-source technology is moving the entire Cosmos ecosystem forward.
Research for Akash | Stake (AKT)
Akash is one of the first Cosmos SDK based application specific blockchains. It's purpose-built to be a decentralized marketplace and deployment platform for computing resources. Akash simplifies decentralizing the entire app-stack by launching decentralized frontends or even running nodes. The chain brings in revenue from users renting computing resources, many hope this revenue increases with demand for GPUs in the AI space which are now available on Akash.
Research for Osmosis | Stake (OSMO)
Osmosis is the chain that brought IBC to life being the first Interchain decentralized exchange listing tokens from the IBC ecosystem like AKT, ATOM and many others. The OSMO airdrop kicked off the Cosmos dApp experience for many people - soon exploring its awesome UX, the act of Liquidity providing and more. With concentrated liquidity live, a renewed focus on account abstraction and UX, external dApps like Levana and Calc-finance getting adoption, Proto-rev fee distribution and an ever growing amount of external IBC-Defi integrations via Hooks and ICA, Osmosis is well situated to stay and grow as the Interchain liquidity lab.
Research for ZetaChain | Stake (ZETA)
Zetachain is the blockchain made for cross-chain applications. Using their own interconnectivity infrastructure it is allowing developers to build interoperable dApps that span any chain, including Bitcoin, all from a single place. The Zetachain CosmosSDK and IBC interoperable chain will be the application logic base and has already seen tremendous amount of traffic on testnet. Deploying a cross-chain compatible EVM dApp has never been so easy and secure!
Research for Terra | Stake (LUNA)
Although no longer in the business of stablecoins, we see Terra continuously developing on both the application and network layer. With new leadership at TFL, still with the same vision, they have brought the Alliance module, an Interchain supported TeraStation wallet and will soon bring a lot more features to the Terra network. One can expect: Enterprise (MPC smart contract wallets with Daos and payments enabled), Warp (on-chain automation tool for web3 products), JAX (Java smart contracts) and lastly a full rebuild for scalability of the network. The core focus for Terra has always been to bring web3 products to the masses - that started with physical UST payments but it won't end there.
Research for Dymension Hub | Stake (DYM)
The Dymension hub is a purpose-built settlement layer for an ecosystem of sovereign yet interoperable RollApps. The Rollap SDK and other tooling will allow many of these layer-2s to emerge with varying Virtual Machine (VM), Data Availability (DA) and sequencing choices. The Dymension hub is a cosmos SDK chain build so that RollApps are IBC interoperable by leveraging the Dymension hub as the router. As more developers require sovereign yet composable blockspace Dymension will play a key role in allowing these builders to deploy less-expensive rollups with their choice of DA, sequencer and interoperability integrations powered by the Dymension tech stack.
Research for Avail Project | Stake (AVAIL)
Avail is a robust base layer designed to meet the needs of next-generation trust-minimized applications and sovereign rollups. Avail's strengths lie in its innovative security approach, which allows light clients to easily verify data availability through sampling over a peer-to-peer network. Avail’s modular approach simplifies blockchain integration for developers, as they no longer need to worry about validator sets or tokenomics. With Avail's unparalleled data availability interface and powerful security capabilities, developers can create zero-knowledge or fraud-proof-based blockchain applications with greater efficiency and ease.
Research for Aleo | Stake (ALEO)
Aleo has build the first network where developers can create applications with Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) powered privacy features without diving into the proving circuits themselves. The design space of ZKP powered applications is ever increasing, and although it lacks the composability of a MPC or TEE solution it is significantly more secure and trustless. With the Aleo SDKs developers will build the next generation of web3 products as users will no longer request privacy - but expect it!
